Mentorship Opportunities

The National Black MBA Association Cleveland Chapter is pleased to present its mentoring program. The program is open to all members in good standing of the Cleveland Chapter to participate as mentors or mentees. The role of the mentor is to support, encourage and guide the mentee in his/her quest to set goals and achieve the objectives that he/she desires. The role of a mentee is to leverage the time with a mentor to build professional relationships and to set and achieve personal goals. 

Expectations 

Of A Mentor

  • Observe confidentiality, privacy and personal boundaries

  • Agree on a regular, appropriate, mutually conducive contact schedule

  • Encourage mentee’s exploration of ideas, strategies and self-directed learning

  • Provide encouragement on mentee’s strengths and help them to Work on weaknesses

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the communication-is it positive?

  • Gauge the effectiveness of the relationship-is the mentee making progress?
